How can you love each other when you are not growing old in the same direction? A promising movie with fantastic actors, great director and a strong idea. No doubt, Brad Pitt is impressive with a wide acting span, and Fincher has learnt how to build impressive scenes without necessarily using incredible camera moves... Many formal ideas are impressive and the varied scenes slowly build high-class entertainment. But another striking aspect becomes slowly more obvious: this story is terribly blank, without deep and fantastic ideas. "You have to accept what you are", wow. Wouldn't have it been possible to build something more original with this promissing subject: growing old in a younger body? This movie might be worth a second viewing in order to judge it more precisely but up to now, it feels a bit overrated...
